This route gives option for those don’t want to hike to the top/summit, and hike from East to West and finish your hike on the South which is in Tanzania side, it gives you a chance to see the mountain from Tanzania to Kenyan side

Day 3: Kilimanjaro

Drive to West Kilimanjaro. Enjoy spectacular landscapes including views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido and Ol Doinyo Orok.

From the Lodge/hotel:The guides will meet you the afternoon before the trip at the hotel/Lodge and provide you with information about the trip, including what and how to pack before you begin your trekking adventure and any other last-minute questions. The day your trek begins, breakfast is served at 6 am and the guides will be on-site for you with vehiclesto transfer you to the starting point,which is about 2-3hrs drive from Moshi and Arusha to the Lemosho trail starting point. Here you will meet the rest of your crew and set off at a leisurely pace into the dark forest of Lemosho. Lunch is taken at the starting point of the trail and camp is reached by late afternoon.You arrive at mti mkubwa camp with plenty of time to rest and relax. A hot dinner as well as a brief about the following day will be prepared for you before turning in for the night.

Day 4: Kilimanjaro

Mti Mkubwa (2330M to Shira camp 1-3505m.

Once again, you will rise up early at Mti mkubwa camp, the breakfast is usually served around 7:30, your journey continue immediately after breakfast for an hour or so to the end of the forest and then the trail gradually steepens and enters the giant heather moorland zone: Lunch is normally taken on the trail next by a stream. The trail then continues until you reach the shira ridge, and camp is reached by mid afternoon. Dinner is served around 5:30. This is an absolutely a picture day as Kibo shines in the distance, ‘at night, ‘’amazing sunsets and moon risings can be filmed from the campsite:

Day 5: Kilimanjaro

Shira camp 1-3500M- to Moir Camp (4175M)

Walking distance- 6.2KM

Walking time- 2-3Hours:

Altitude gain- 340M

Habitas- Moorland Zones:

Today you will rise a bit late at Shira Camp 1, and have a very gentle work across Plateu which leads to Moir hut. continue your journey immediately after breakfast (typically around (9:00am). You begin your day on a very gentle slope. Crossing the moorland meadows by a stream. A variety of walks are available on the plateau making this an excellent day to relax, and let your body adjust to the altitude.

Day 6: Kilimanjaro

Moir Camp (4175m) to Pofu camp (4100M)

Hiking distance: 7Km

Hiking time: 3hrs

Habitat: Moorland/desert.

Accommodations: Four season tent

You will continue steadily upward today on a step ridge off the main trail. Moir camp is a seldom used yet very scenic camp with view so the Shira Plateau and upward to the lava plugs. Hiking time is 2-3 hours.

Day 7: Kilimanjaro

Pofu camp (4100M) to Third cave towards east

Hiking Time: 4 – 5 hours

Hiking Distance: 9.5km

Habitat: Moorland/desert

Altitude: 3875M

Accommodations: Four season tent

Today is a gradual walk no hills. Our destination is Third Cave Camp, on the Rongai Trail. Continue the circuit to the east where you’ll enjoy the vast, untraveled mountain wilderness.

Day 8: Kilimanjaro

Third cave (3875m) to School Hut (4715m)

Hiking Time: 3 – 4 hours

Hiking Distance: 6km

Habitat: desert/rocks

Accommodations: Four season tent

Trek across the impressive saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo, admiring the spectacularly stark landscape. The temperature turns cold as you near the foot of Kibo, reaching Outward Bound Camp after a relatively easy hike

Day 9: Kilimanjaro

School hut (4715) to-Crater Camp (5730m)

Trekking Time: 5 – 6 hours

Trekking Distance: 6km

Habitat: dry desert/ left over ash

Accommodations: Four season tent

Depart after breakfast along a steep slope with switchbacks over loose rock, scree, and boulders as you near Gilman’s Point. You will descend into the crater. The high altitude of Crater Camp makes it a physically demanding experience, but the reward of the glaciers makes it all worthwhile. Overnight in crater.

Day 10: Kilimanjaro

Summit Day! Summit will be only 1 hour from Crater Camp. After a beautiful sunrise we will descend to Barafu camp 4680M for some lunch.

Barafu camp-4680M to Mweka Camp-3307M-10,170 ft:

Habitat: Alpine to Heath Zone:

After lunch, you pack all of your gear and hike down a rocky and scree path into the moorland. The descent continues to the final campsite at the edge of Mweka Forest. What happens now is amazing! The increase in oxygen not only makes breathing so much easier, it seems as if energy has been injected into your system! Dinner is often a lively affair, with everybody’s eyes shining as they recount the experiences of the day.

I have no doubt that you will sleep well tonight.

Uhuru Peak (5895m)/ Mweka High Camp (3790m) After an early breakfast make the 1.5 hour hike to Uhuru peak, reaching the summit around 8am. At this early hour, before the clouds set in, enjoy 360 degree views of Africa.

Day 11: Kilimanjaro

Mweka Camp - 3100M to Mweka Gate-1800M

Hiking distance: 12KM all downhill:

Hiking time: 2-4 Hours:

Altitude decreased- 1300M-4264Ft:

Today the mountain is finally under your feet!! You climbed Kilimanjaro and you are ready to celebrate your amazing accomplishment! Your last breakfast on Kilimanjaro is normally served around 7:30, and around 8:00 it’s time to start running down the hill to the bottom of the mountain. You set off through the lush forest to the Mweka Park Gate where successful climbers receive their Golden Summit Certificate and Green Certificate for those who reached Stella Point.

Day 12: Arusha/Moshi

END OF TOUR-Flying Back Home In the Afternoon/Evening.
