Uganda Safari Packing List

Below listed are some of the safari essentials which you should include for your Uganda Safari

  • Shorts and shirts or light pants for the daytime. Neutral tones like beige, khaki, stone and light dim hued don't show the dirt and buildup to which you'll be revealed.

  • A couple of good walking boots, if organizing any walking safaris.

  • A wide brimmed hat to disguise you from the sun - this should have string/lashes, if staying in the van or jeep - it could be forgotten about.

  • A great deal of sunscreen cream (High SPF).

  • A good pair of binoculars.

  • Long pants and long-or short-sleeved shirts for the evening, for men, as protection from mosquitoes; correspondingly for the ladies, maxi dresses are unmistakable, notwithstanding a pashmina, if fresh.

  • A fleece/jumper/sweater for the early morning (or a safari coat) and night game drives.

  • A great deal of film or blaze card memory for your camera and a battery charger.

  • A little first aid kit.

  • Swimming outfits/bathing suits as by far most of the lodges and camps have pools.

  • Good pair of sun glasses as you are on the equator where the sun is particularly incredible.

  • Several running shoes and sports socks. Other than safari shoes with socks for ladies.

  • A little maglight or electric lamp.

  • A container of water your purse. Most vans will have coolers for which you can demand drinks from the lodging/camp the earlier night, if going out for the duration of the day or for a game drive.

  • Mosquito repellant, trap or mosquito electric ball with chips, to put on around night time in inn or camp (if required).
